PLC & SCADA Maintenance Level Course



This is a 5 day course Identifying PLC System and Software Components. Communicating with PLC system, Identifying I/O tags. Monitoring and Editing Tag Values, Monitoring and editing basic Ladder Logic Troubleshooting Digital and Analogue I/O Modules, Interpreting Ladder instructions Configuring trends, controller properties, Using the search and cross-reference functions, Forcing I/O and toggling bits


Persons successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Identify hardware components of a PLC Programmable Controller System.

  • Configure and install a PLC Programmable Controller System.

  • Use a programming terminal for entering, editing and troubleshooting programs.

  • Isolate processor and I/O faults to the module level.

  • Troubleshoot simple programs using ladder instruction of the PLC Programmable Controller.

  • Properly use peripheral devices to store, copy and print programs.

  • Properly connect and establish communications over a DF1/RS-232 cable.


This course is designed for individuals who are responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining a control system using the programmable controller.

  • Creating & Editing graphic display with animation

  • Data Entry / Start Stop command

  • Analog entry

  • Sizing, Movement, Blinking, Visibility, Filling

  • Connectivity with the different hardware

  • Communication protocols

  • Communication with PLC
